The senior tier and confirming your work email
How the senior tier is earned by rule, with a confirmed work email or a Grohire track record, and what it lets you do.
Senior interviewers take the senior-tier interviews: experienced candidates, expert interviews that candidates book directly, and the later rounds of college interview packs. The tier is earned by rule, never from typed years alone.
Who becomes senior
You need the years for it (usually eight or more), plus one of these:
- a confirmed work email at the company on your profile, or
- a track record on Grohire: usually ten completed interviews, calibration passed, candidate ratings above the pause line, and no strike in the last 90 days.
We check every day and move you up automatically when you qualify. You get a message when it happens.
Confirm your work email
- Open Profile & verification and scroll to Work email.
- Type your work address, for example you@yourcompany.com.
- Click Send a code.
- Enter the 6-digit code from that inbox and click Confirm.
Only the domain is checked. Your work address is never shown to anyone.
What the senior tier adds
- Senior-tier interviews, which pay more.
- Expert interviews that candidates book with you directly. See Expert bookings in your own calendar.
- Your expert rate: what a candidate pays to book you. It must be at least the floor shown on the page. Changing it never affects an interview someone has already paid for.
If something goes wrong
- Gmail, Outlook and similar personal addresses cannot confirm where you work.
- If your company's domain does not match the company name we have, write to Support and our team will check it.
- Codes expire, and too many wrong tries lock them. Ask for a new code.
- Seniors who were never confirmed may be moved back to regular after a review. The tier comes back by rule once you qualify, and interviews already booked stand.
