How offers work: accepting, rounds and auto-accept

Offers go to a few interviewers at once and the first to accept gets the interview. Learn how rounds, ranking and auto-accept work.

When a candidate books an interview, we offer it to a few interviewers at once. The first to accept gets it.

Accept or decline an offer

  1. Open Today. Offers are at the top, with the time left to respond and the fee shown on the offer.
  2. Click Accept to take it, or Decline if you cannot.

If you accept, the interview is yours and appears under Upcoming sessions. If someone else was quicker, you are told that it was taken. That is normal.

Rounds

  • The first round goes to a few of the best-matched interviewers, usually three.
  • If nobody takes it within the round (usually about 20 minutes), a wider round goes out, then everyone who fits.
  • Close to the start time, it goes to everyone at once.

How you are ranked

We look at your tier, how well your role matches, candidates' feedback, how reliably you answer offers, and who has had the fewest interviews this week. Saying no is fine. Letting offers lapse lowers your place.

Take interviews automatically

  1. Open Availability.
  2. In Take interviews automatically, click Switch on.

Any interview offered inside your hours is then yours straight away, without an offer to answer. You are told at once and can still give one back. Auto-accept opens after a few completed interviews (usually three) with no strike in the last 30 days.

Good to know

  • Your fee is fixed when you accept. A later price change never alters it.
  • New interviewers hold one booking at a time until their first few interviews are done.
  • You are never offered an interview ordered by your own employer, a company you excluded, a candidate who works where you do, or, where we can avoid it, a candidate you have already interviewed.
  • If an offer says the interview cannot go to you, your account may be paused, calibration may be due, or you may be away or busy at that time.
