Interest checks: ask candidates if they are open to a role

Ask masked candidates whether they are open to your role before spending an unlock. Free, with a daily limit.

An interest check asks a masked candidate a short question: are they open to this role? It is free, and you see who said yes before you spend an unlock.

Ask everyone on a search page

  1. Run a search in Find candidates.
  2. Open Ask the ... masked candidates on this page if they are open to a role (free) above the results.
  3. Enter the Role (required) and, if you like, the Location and a CTC band.
  4. Optionally choose For requirement to link the question to one of your requirements.
  5. Click Ask.

Ask one candidate

  1. Open the candidate's profile.
  2. Under Next steps, open Ask if they are open to a role (free).
  3. Fill in Role, Location and CTC band, then click Send.

What the candidate sees

They see your agency's name, the role, the location and the CTC band, with two buttons: Yes, I am interested and No, not for me. They are told you have not seen their name or contact details, and that if they say yes you may unlock their profile.

Follow the answers

  1. Open Interest checks from the menu.
  2. Each row shows the role you asked about, the answer (Yes, interested, Not interested or No answer yet), when it was sent and by whom.
  3. Click Unlock on a candidate who said yes.

Good to know

  • Your agency has a daily limit; the page shows how many you have left today.
  • Each candidate is asked by your agency at most once in 30 days. Candidates already unlocked or no longer open to agencies are skipped.
  • Asking reveals nothing about the candidate.
