Parental consent if you are under 18
Under 18, your profile stays private until a parent or guardian agrees. You can still take tests and practise meanwhile.
If your date of birth shows you are under 18, the law (DPDP) needs a parent or guardian to agree before employers and agencies can see your profile.
What you can and cannot do until then
- You can take skill tests and practice tests as much as you like.
- You cannot join the talent pool, apply for jobs or share your GH Score.
Steps
- Open Privacy & data.
- Find Your profile is private until a parent agrees.
- Enter your Parent or guardian's name and Their email.
- Click Ask them.
- Your parent opens the link in our email and clicks I am the parent or guardian, and I agree.
Once they agree, the card says Your parent or guardian has agreed with the date.
Good to know
- The link in the email works for 14 days. If it runs out, click Send again.
- Your parent can withdraw consent at any time from the same link, using Withdraw my consent.
- If your date of birth is wrong, correct it on My profile (click Edit, step 1).
