Check the candidate's ID during the call

Use the in-call checklist to confirm the person on camera is the candidate who booked. A mismatch keeps the interview out of the GH Score.

Before you start, check that the person on camera is the candidate who booked. A GH Score is only worth something if it belongs to the right person.

The checklist

Once you join, a Checklist panel stays on your screen.

  • Their photo from the waiting room: if the candidate took a photo holding their ID before joining, it shows here. Compare it with the face on the call.
  • 1. Photo ID: ask them to hold a photo ID up to the camera. The name must match the name shown.
  • 2. Recording: shows whether the interview is being recorded.
  • 3. A fair interview: if you know the candidate personally or work with them, end the call and tell us. Do not share personal contact details.

Record the result

  1. Ask the candidate to show their photo ID on camera.
  2. Click Matches, Not shown or Does not match.
  3. Your answer is saved and filled in on the report for you.

The report asks the same question again under Identity check, so you can change it there before you submit.

What each answer means

  • Matches: the interview counts normally.
  • Not shown: the interview still counts, and the report records that no ID was shown.
  • Does not match: the interview is kept out of the candidate's GH Score and our team reviews it. You are still paid.

Good to know

  • If the candidate leaves the interview window during the call, the checklist shows it.
  • Candidates' waiting-room photos are seen only by you and our team, and are deleted after a set period.
  • In the report you can also tick what you saw of their education or experience documents. That only counts when the photo ID matched.
