Send a broadcast to a group of students
Write once to a batch, programme, stream, placement status or a drive's shortlist, by in-app notice and email.
Broadcasts let you write once to a group of students. They are part of the Campus Placement Package.
Steps
- Open Broadcasts from the menu.
- Under New message, choose the group: Batch, Programme, Stream, Placement status or On the drive. Leave a list on "Any" to include everyone.
- Write the Subject, for example "Aptitude test on Friday at 10 am".
- Write the message, up to 2,000 characters: the schedule, the venue, documents to bring.
- Click Send now and confirm.
Who gets it
- Students with an account get it in the app and by email.
- Students who have not signed up get it at the email on your roster.
- It is not sent by WhatsApp.
Good to know
- A big group goes out over a few presses. Each press tells you how many it reached. Click Send the rest on a broadcast that has not finished.
- The Sent list shows each broadcast, who it went to and how many it reached.
- Your placement cell can send up to 20 broadcasts a day.
- Sending needs a placement officer or staff login.
