Join your expert interview

Your interview happens on Grohire, by video. There is nothing to install and no other link to open.

Before the day

1. Open Expert interviews and click Open on your session.
2. Click Add to calendar if you like.
3. Click Test camera and microphone at any time to check your set-up.

On the day

1. Open the session. The Join the interview button works from 10 minutes before the start.
2. In the waiting room, check that your camera and microphone show as working.
3. Under Photo with your ID, hold a photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, licence or college ID) next to your face. Tick the box to agree and click Take the photo, or Skip.
4. Decide whether to tick the box agreeing to the interview being recorded. See Interview recordings.
5. Click Join the interview.

During the call

• Your interviewer will ask you to show your ID on camera and check the name.
• Stay in the interview window. Switching to another tab or app is shown to your interviewer.
• If your connection drops, click Rejoin the interview. It carries on where it was.
• If your interviewer is 10 or more minutes late, click Report that my interviewer has not joined and we chase them straight away.

Good to know

• Your ID photo is seen only by your interviewer and our team, and is deleted after a set time (usually 180 days).
