Record each student's placement status

Mark students as placed, higher studies, entrepreneur, opted out or debarred, one at a time or in bulk.

Placement status keeps your figures fair: a student going for higher studies or opting out is not counted as unplaced. It is free.

The statuses

  • Seeking a job (the starting status)
  • Placed
  • Higher studies
  • Entrepreneur
  • Opted out
  • Debarred

Change one student

  1. Open Roster.
  2. In the Placement status column, click Change under the student's status.
  3. Choose the status and, if you like, add a note such as the university or company.
  4. Click Save.

Change several students at once

  1. Tick the students in the list.
  2. Choose an action such as Mark: Higher studies from the bulk actions.
  3. Apply it.

Good to know

  • The status chips above the list show how many students have each status. Click one to filter.
  • Students marked debarred, opted out or going for higher studies are left out when you shortlist for a drive.
  • A student who accepts a job offer recorded on a drive counts as placed in your reports.
  • Higher studies, entrepreneur and opted out feed your NAAC, NBA and NIRF reports.
  • Heads of department can record status for students in their own department.
