Upload your resume and confirm the details
Upload a PDF or Word resume. We read it and suggest details for your profile, but nothing is saved until you tick it and confirm.
A resume adds points to your profile and is usually the first thing an employer opens.
Steps
- Open My profile and scroll to Resume (or use step 4 of the profile set-up).
- Click Choose your resume and pick a PDF, DOCX or DOC file of up to 2 MB.
- Click Upload and read it.
- On Review the details from your resume, tick each suggestion you want copied to your profile: degree, college, graduation year, company, role, total experience and skills.
- Click Apply what I ticked, or Skip — I will fill it in myself.
Replace or download it
- To replace it, upload a new file in the same place. The old one is replaced.
- Click Download in the Resume card to get your current file.
Good to know
- Nothing is ticked for you. A wrong college copied in silently is worse than an empty field.
- Your name, email and phone come from your account, never from the file.
- Uploading a resume never changes your GH Score. That is earned from tests and interviews.
- Any employer who opens your resume sees the email and phone printed in it, whatever your contact-sharing setting says. Remove them from the file if that matters to you.
- Scanned images have no text to read, so fill those details in by hand.
- No resume yet? Use the Resume builder.
