TDS and your earnings statements
How TDS is deducted from your payouts, and how to download earnings and TDS statements for a year or a quarter.
Grohire deducts TDS from interviewer payouts under section 194J once your payouts in a financial year pass the threshold shown on your Earnings page. Below that, nothing is deducted.
How TDS works
- Once you cross the threshold, TDS is worked out on the whole year so far.
- It is shown on every payout in the Payouts table, in the TDS column.
- It is filed against your PAN, so it appears in your Form 26AS.
Download a statement
- Open Earnings.
- On the Payouts card, find the box for the financial year.
- Click full year, or Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 for one quarter.
- The statement downloads as a PDF.
Each yearly box also shows what you earned, the TDS deducted and what was paid that year.
Good to know
- The statements are our record of what we paid and deducted, to match against Form 26AS or your AIS.
- They are not a tax certificate. The official TDS certificate (Form 16A) comes from the income tax department's TRACES portal.
- Add your PAN before your first payout. See Add your payout details.
- For questions about a deduction, write to Support. For tax advice, ask your tax adviser.
