How your GH Score is built

Your GH Score out of 10 comes from your target role test, expert interviews, education, experience, certifications and profile. Here is how it works and when employers see it.

Your GH Score is the number employers search on. It is out of 10 and built from verified results.

What it is made of

  • Expert interviews: the largest single part. One completed expert interview also earns the Interview Verified badge.
  • Skill tests: your latest attempt in your target role.
  • Education and Work experience: count in full only once verified.
  • Certifications: only verified ones count.
  • Profile & activity.

A part you have not started does not drag you down. Its weight is shared out across the parts you have, so adding it later raises your score.

When employers can see it

Your GH Score is published once both are true:

  • Your profile is at 80% or above.
  • You have taken the skill test for your target role.

Until then, My GH Score shows a Provisional figure that only you can see.

Steps to see and improve it

  1. Open My GH Score from the menu.
  2. Check What it takes to publish.
  3. Read What your GH Score is made of for each part's score and share.
  4. Use What would move it most. Each figure is your real score recalculated with that one thing at full marks.

Good to know

  • Self-declared education and experience count for only part of their weight until verified. See Get your details verified.
  • Changing your target role changes which test counts.
  • How it has changed lists each change over time.
  • Our public page How the GH Score works explains the method.
